uniCredit has opened a new branch in the vibrant market place of Dr. Mensah in Kumasi. This
brings the total number of branches of uniCredit to 12 and the 4th in the Kumasi metropolis.
Speaking at a brief ceremony to officially open the branch, the CEO, Mr. Samuel Sakyi-Hyde said the opening of the branch is part of company’s strategy to improve access to its customer base and create additional opportunities for the unbanked community to experience the unique service offering of uniCredit. Mr. Sakyi- Hyde reiterated that uniCredit was on course to achieving its set target of 20 branches by the end of this year.
He said, “We have set out a high target to provide enhanced and premium banking services to our target market, and we have shown commitment to this course over the years”.
Mr. Sakyi-Hyde explained that the decision to open a branch at Dr. Mensah in addition
to the already existing 3 branches in Kumasi is further testimony of uniCredit’s commitment to bringing superior services and convenience to the people of Kumasi.
Touching on developments in the company over the last two months, he said uniCredit has successfully rolled out its new IT infrastructure which has seen tremendous improvement in its service delivery. He said the new infrastructure will afford customers the convenience of internet banking and mobile banking services. Additionally, current account customers can now clear their cheques D+1, which has tremendously given the business community another leap by way of speed and turnaround time.
