Chief Executive Officer of uniCredit, Mr. Samuel Sakyi-Hyde has reiterated the resolve of the company to continue in its quest to support small businesses to grow. Mr. Sakyi-Hyde gave this assurance during recent engagements with key customers of the institution in Kumasi and Takoradi.
“We have built expertise over the years that place us in a better position to understand small businesses; and our strength is in helping you to grow” he noted.
Making a presentation on the common mistakes Ghanaian businesses make, he said research has shown that most Ghanaian businesses do not travel beyond the lifetime of their founders. Mr. Sakyi-Hyde also outlined key factors which can be dealt with by business owners to ensure the sustainability of their businesses.
Mr. Sakyi-Hyde assured customers that in view of this, uniCredit has put in place effective training and business advisory programs to benefit its customers. He emphasised that uniCredit offers a growth and development process to support its customers.
“We will continue to work with our customers to identify and take advantage of the right businesses,” he asserted.
uniCredit recently set aside a week to celebrate its esteemed clients during its Customer Appreciation Week. Celebrating the week under the theme “Think Customers, Go the Extra Mile”, several customer-focused activities were carried out throughout the week to re-emphasise the institution’s commitment to meeting and exceeding its clients’ expectations.
Remarking on recent economic developments and their impact on businesses; as well as uniCredit’s outlook for the last quarter of the year, Mr. Sakyi-Hyde reiterated the institution’s promise to all of its customers and the SME industry as a whole. “We are optimistic of our prospects for growth this year, and we will continue to respond to your varied needs and improve service delivery to surpass your expectations,” he assured.
He hinted that as part of making the uniCredit service experience to many more potential customers, uniCredit will be opening five (5) more branches to close the year with the projected twenty (20) branches. Mr. Sakyi-Hyde said currently, plans are far advanced to open three (3) branches in key locations in Accra; namely Kokomlemle and Kantamanto Central in Accra, and Kasoa in the Central Region.
